Ally Birthday Card
Well today I started to feel a little brighter so thought I would take myself out to the cabin and have an hour or two me time. Kids just wanted a bit of time on computer/xbox. We've had some lovely family time playing board games over the last few days. Yeah Mum is still the champ at Blokus (well I was today anyway)!!!
Well don't know what January is like for you guys but I have loads of family and friends with Birthdays so thought I would make a start. I can't believe where the years have gone my little (well not so little ) boy will be ten. Oh dear that only means one thing I will get a year old as well !! Quickly moving on.
For Christmas he got a electric guitar and some headphones but to be fair it's great to hear him playing (well sometimes) even if the dog hates it. So of course the card had to be done on the guitar theme. I used my Funky Hands Happy Happy Birthday CD (which is on offer right now so pop over and have a look, grab yourself a bargain) for the papers. I added a super guitar digi image from Stitchy Bear which was the lovely prize I won on the a challenge over at Allsorts blog. I just sized it down and duplicated it to make a super backing paper. The letters have been covered in glossy accents for a 3D effect and little ruffled ribbon. The image is a Rock Star from sugar nellie range which I purchased some time ago from Cloudnine at Horncastle, I just love this stamp. Coloured up with my promakers.
I'm entering it in the challenge over on:-

WOW FAB NEWS
WOW
Well after a busy day out with Ally (my little boy) at his school Christmas fair.
I have been a parent helper today and after feeling very rough this week so was pleased that I was able to make it. I'm sure all of us have had the moments in life when your heart melts, well that was me he was playing in the band and a great job they all did.
He started playing the guitar in July and wow he is doing so well
(I know I'm a little bias as he's mine but I love how far he had come).
What a perfect end to a fab day and a not so great week.
I was lucky enough to be selected in the allsorts challenge WK 132 and won a super prize, big thanks can't wait to indulge in my fab prize.
Those of you who know me will understand I don't have much confidence in doing many challenges and always love feedback from anyone good or bad, so please pop in even if it's only a little line.
( I have to say a great BIG thanks to LOU as she is always they with comments of support)
Thanks Fi x

Hello
Well I guess you have all wondered where I've been lately, or not as the case may be.
I have been super busy making things for a little craft fair
I did the other week with Lou.
We had a lovely night and sold a few things
but so nervous about doing it.
I unfortunately I have been struck down by a bug
so have been (still am) feeling very under the weather.
Right on with what I'm here for today.
Today's creations is for the Allsorts Challenge - Going round in circles
I have used some Christmas papers from my little stash I have.
Out came the Cricut to cut the circles to create a gap for my spinning snowflakes to travel around,(it's a little hard to show you but the spin around the circle).
I used my gel pens to draw the sentiment (snow is all around)
on some pearl white paper (sorry but that is difficult to see).
I have added glitter to the snowflakes
and a bit of distressing with peeled paint and worn lipstick.
Well thanks for popping in nice to see you.

My new nails
Oh I'm so excited and wanted to share my new nails with you.
Sorry I know I don't have the best hands, but the nails are really lovely
My wonderful hubby treated me to them. Well what he actually said was""go and get your nails done if you want then done". So that's just what happened and yes I know very different. It was a very talented Chinese guy who did them and it's all done by hand no transfers (the pics don't do them justice as they really sparkle).
Thanks for dropping in.

New Home
Well back today with a quick card I made for my cousin and his fiance who have just moved into there new house. So all the best to Chris and Wendy and hope your very happy.
I have used my Stampin up Jumbo Roller for the houses, oh it's such a lovely image and stamped so well. Promakers to colour, and finished with some ribbon to match the card colours. Oh nearly forgot New Home stamped in Whisper White. I must say it took me as long to find a new home stamp as it did to make the card, why do you never have the little sentiments you want.
That's it for now, I must get on with my Christmas bits as I have been asked to do a few bits for the local school who are having a little event.

What have I been up to !!!
Well sorry last week was very quiet on my blog but had lots of other tasks/jobs to do.
I had a night out at one of our local Brownie groups, at which we made some super door hangers. I spent several days cutting out Sizzix people along with their hair and outfits. Gosh I didn't realise how much time it takes, out came the scraps box and trying to get the max out of things.
Next task was to create some things which the children at Ally's (my youngest) school could make for fathers day. They have a little tuck shop which each class takes turns running. These items were for them to sell on their little stall, I understand from a reliable source (Ally) that everything sold.
I cut out and prepared 20 DAD hangers. As we only had a 45 min slot in which to get things made. I did most of the back work just leaving the overlay letters and decoration for the children to add.
The children also made an envelope to pop this super hanger in
making it a little surprise.
I cut and prepared 20 cards; ten of each. Again make most of it up just leaving the children to glue and decorate with their own ideas.
I'm sorry but wasn't able to photograph all the finished items as ~I forgot my camera so the one pictured was the one Ally and I put together as samples.
GONE FISHING
I have use a Penny black stamp to create this card.
Edited to correct the links and spacing, sorry have lots of problems.
Hugs Fi xx
The papers are Crafts Too from a super little pack of colours I have just purchased.
The image has been cut out using a nestie, coloured with promarkers.
A little ribbon has been added down the sidealong
with a fish charm to go with the gone fishing theme.
The little sign post is a stamp from my tilda collection.
Not forgetting finished of with the Happy Birthday stamp from LOTV .
and punched out with my SU oval punches.
I have entered this in the following challenges

Sketch challenge - June 2011 - A Square Dance
Well as my super friend Lou gave me a dig in the ribs with this challenge,
knowing I love my inchies.
This is my first sketch challenge and I hope it fits.
Over at Kathy's Waffle sketch File this month it's Square dance
I have used my Funky Hands CD for the backing papers and the little ribbon strips. The inchies are stamped using my Big and Juicy ink pad. I made the little backing with my brayer and the same Big and Juicy ink pad. The images and backing are edged with my black ink pad to allow them to stand out a little. Dusty Concord distress ink around the edge on base card and Spiced Marmalade on the ribbon strips. Finish with some little flowers and a few gems.
On this one I have used my Black 'Clearly Better' ink pad. I used a different set which I have stamped on some super pearly card which I purchased from the Simply Yours show at Lincoln the other week. I'm loving it, such super colours. I bought some more colours today at Doncaster Stamp magic show. I used a little black ribbon, just adding a little Happy Birthday disc from the same inches pack. Few square gems around the edge to go with the square theme. Last thing was to mount it on to my base card (black) with just the side edges showing

Your My Favourite.
Out came my little box with my Penny black stamps and I set to work. This is what I managed to make. I just love this dog: it's great for any birthday.
