Magnolia blog candy over on Loopy Lou's Loopy thoughts

Morning all, what a nice sunny morning it is here in Lincolnshire. Ground a bit hard from the frost over night but that's great for dog walking, at least he wouldn't get to dirty (well that's what I thought) until he found the muddy puddle around the horses water. Straight in the shower on his return home. lol Ok lets get on with what I came here to do, this is my card for the Blog Candy over on Loopy Lou's Loopy Thoughts . Oh I do love Tilda stamps so much, this is one of my favourite ones. I have used papers from Minds eye paper pack I got free with a magazine. Nice bit of lacy and some card candy. Bit of chalk here and there, a few flowers and some foliage from my Martha Stewart Punch and a tag to finish off. Thanks for dropping in and hope you like it, must go and got the house work done now!!!

Challenge #43 Sweet Shop

Well it's that time again over on Fantabulous Cricut for the challenge I'm a bit behind this week but have managed to get finished. This weeks challenge was Sweet shop - incorporate something sweet on your project. Thinking cap on and this is what I came up with, it's a birthday cake I used my Cricut Design Studio to cut the circles and sides of the cake. The candle is from Sweet treats cart and lettering from Storybook. I did use my Martha Stewart drippy goo punch for the icing, a few beads as sprinkles on the cake. A few gems around the base to bling it up.
Hope you enjoy, this cake like all my cakes is NOT eddible !! lol

Boys Card - Ally Birthday card

Just a quick post, but wanted to share my little boy's card with you all.
It's been Ally's birthday today so have been busy trying to make it special for him (things don't always go to plan do they).
We popped to town first thing this morning as he needed some new school shoes, (need a bank loan for them these days) two pairs to choose from, yeah guess which ones he chose - the most expensive, (but he loves them and they are nice, so may be he will look after them better, Oh boy I hope so).
Next stop game shop, he had taken some of his old Wii games to trade in for a new game, (thanks for the help form my tec whizz kid, yeah you know who you are!!!) he came home very happy with two games as well as dad getting one (who's the big kid now).
Quick call at the bank to pay a cheque and back to the car, oh slight detour as we saw a book in waterstones which was calling to him, with the birthday money in his pocket (we don't mind books, especially if he's going to read them).
Called in for lunch treat at ????? yeah MacDonald's, very naughty I know but it's his Birthday, if a boy can't chose what he wants on his birthday when can he. Ok back to what I was going to tell you. I have made his super cute easel Birthday card with a sheet I got on my 1st trip to Kanban (oh I love that place, why is it so far away).
I'm so sorry but I can't remember who's blog I saw it on, but some very kind person was showing you how to create your own wobbler spring, I just love making them. So to bring the card to life I put his head and game controller on wobbler springs (I think it looks like a Wii controller)
My Martha Stewart Happy Birthday punch came out to play along with her friend Mr spring curl and I made the lovely stopper. Punched out a couple of ovals with my stampin up punch with a few peel offs for his name and age.
Thanks for popping in and reading my waffle for today, bye for now

FUNKY HANDS - Going round in circles

Well I have been very busy since I saw a little post the other night about Funky Hands challenge. The challenge over on Funky Hands this month is Going round in circles. Umm thinking cap on - what can I make, what have I got ??? First idea is it's going to be and easel card, Yeah a circle easel. Out with my Funky hand cd's which one can I use? quick look through printing off pages that include circles (sorry but can't remember which CD I used, but maybe someone will leave a comment with that, I'm hoping funky hand girls will help here). Oh me thinks I have those love domes I bought while out with Lou (umm must use one as Lou was first to use hers I can't let her down by not using mine) so out came the ruler and after a few test cuts I got the right size circle cut out of my main circle on the card (phew a sigh of relief ). Next I would need to make a circle frame to go around it, got to be circles, after all that's the challenge (don't we love challenges). Quick visit to GBS cart and my Cricut Design Studio circle found now just to build it round my cut out circle but keep inside the main circle as much as possible. Task complete test cut done very pleased with outcome. I then thought a bit of ribbon threaded round would be nice. First bit too thin, out it came, then I started with another not sure if it's a bit thick but looked better than the thin. Consult my hubby (not always best) but he said oh that's nice (I nearly fell over, shock horror he liked something I made first time, no change needed), so the ribbon stayed. What to put in my dome, ummm I thought after he had been so nice with the ribbon comment I would stamp a little Edwin (my first stamp club stamps) and make it up as a card for him (I know how sweet !!!). Out with the confetti sprinkles (never sure how many to pop in), little bit of this and that, buts lots of love (remember it is for a very special man). Bit of tape and glue and on with the dome and hey presto it's done. Punched out a few buttons, ribbon in centre and nice little sentiment just great as a little stopper for the easel. NOTE :- don't shake the card till the glue is dry, ooppsss never mind it adds to the effect (well that's what I'm saying). Hope you enjoyed my creation and sorry about the waffle, back soon. Hugs Fi xx

Challenge #42 Winter Warmies

I was busy making my challenge card on Tuesday/Wednesday but have not been able to get online to post my creation. This weeks challenge over on Fantabulous Cricut was to use mittens, hat etc. I have made this card using Create a critter, Snow friends and pooh and friends. I have chalked around the edges. Sorry it's a bit short and sweet but I'm suffering from a horrid migraine at the moment and find it difficult to concentrate so hope you will excuse me this time.

Challenge #41 Snowy Delights on fantabulous Cricut

This is my card for the challenge over on Fantabulous Cricut the challenge was to create a project and incorporate snow or snowflakes.
I have used a snowflake cut out on the cricut, I have sanded in very lightly to give it a different look. The centre strip was made using my Martha Stewart punch with a bit of ribbon and a lovely bit of yarn I had. Just to finish of I added one of my little Tilda images. It was coloured using Promarkers

Jan challenge card - Cricutolics

Ok first post of the year but hope to get back into my blog, if I can muster up the energy to blog my cards.
Well we have a lovely new forum to post and chat on Cricutolics which was created by the one and only Liz, so big thank you. Kerry over on the forum has very kindly volunteered to be the challenge Mistress !!!!! and sets us a challenge each month. Why not pop on over and see what's going on we would love to have you join us, on the link above.
The challenge set this month was to use a heart and ribbon what with valentines day next month.
I made this card using my Cricut Design Studio. The heart used is from Love struck, writing is from Calligraphy collection. I have used my cuttlebug Heart folder on the background, sanded to allow them to stand out a little. Oh and not forgetting a bit of white organza ribbon.
Thanks for popping over to my blog.
