Challenge 5 storybook swirl

Well here is my quick card for Challenge 5 on the Uk Crafters thread. We have to use the swirl border on Pg60 of Storybook. I have used design studio (surprise surprise) to make the base card welding the border to a card base. I them cut the swirl border out and placed it over the top. It was then backed with some mirror card (you can see the reflection of the cream card on the mirror card !! The thank you in the centre was also from the storybook cart and layered up. Not forgetting I used Swiss dots folder to emboss the back layer of the thank you plate.

Skull and Cross bones

I really enjoyed making this card. I did it with a class to show the use of the marker pens (sharpies and another of Amy C holders http://amychomas.blogspot.com ). I have used Indie art and Plantin Schoolbook not forgetting Cricut Design Studio as that’s the main reason for the classes to show and encourage others to use it. I enjoy using Design Studio very much and rarely use my Cricut without it.

Nappy Cake

Well here is my first attempt at a Nappy Cake creation, I loved this so much I have made another since but forgot to take a picture. I used New arrivals for the stork and Plantin Schoolbook for the tag The writing on the tag was done with the gel pens and the holder which was produce by Amy C and her hubby. I now have all three which she produced and love them very much. More cards to follow that I have used pens on. Please check out amy's blog!!

Mothers Day Card

Here is a late post but as I’m having a good moment I thought I would make the most of it and post the card I did for Mothers Day. I have used a Crafters Companion CD which I love, not forgetting my favourite card this month the lovely easel (pedestal) Card. Not forgetting the wonderful Martha Stewart punch, I just love them they cut so well and make a super finish to a card.

Anniversary Card

Well now I know my friend has open her card I can post it on my blog. I made this step card for a very special friend who has done so much to help and support me. I have used Sweetheart cart for the heart and storybook for frame which I print a sentiment on. Not forgetting my lovely Martha Stewart punch for that lovely heart strip. I have tried for so long to make these step cards but never seem to get it spot on but this time it worked.

Thinking of you

Well here to get me started is my card I did for the UK crafters thread over on the MB http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=6408993. The instructions were to use the daisy from Walk in my garden and some brads. I thought long and hard and decided as I’m having an Easel card faze that’s what it would be. I created a frame using my Craft Design Studio with features on the Walk in my Garden cart. I have layers the snail and lady bug but given the daisy a bit more of the 3d look by embossing them and not forgetting the brads in the centre. Hope you like it please leave me a comment good or bad, Thanks
