Fetch A Sketch Challenge
Well two of the lovely girls over on the Funky Hands team have started a challenge blog of their own. So over on Fetch A Sketch the first challenge has been set, so I have taken the plunge and had a go.
I have used my Funky Hands CD - Dreams come True - Colour way- kidding around. Dusting around the edges with distressed inks (Bungled Sage, Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick). My little Penny Black Hedgehog has been coloured in with promarkers. Oh not forgetting my handmade brad's from a piece of left over paper to match in with the spots (I'm loving these, so simple and look great).
Funky Hands Challenge - Sketch
Over on Funky Hands challenge this month Anice has created a Sketch for everyone to follow.
As the weather was soooo hot yesterday, and I started the day with a bad head and by the afternoon i just wanted to go back to my bed. So today being a little cooler I made my way out to the cabin to play for a few hours after doing the house work while the kids were at school. I have made my challenge card. The papers used on this card are from Funky Hands CD - Dreams come True - colour way was Award winning. I have used the digi images also available on the CD and finished of with a bit of purple ribbon, a dusting of distress inks (dusty concord) around the edges.

What have I been up to !!!
Well sorry last week was very quiet on my blog but had lots of other tasks/jobs to do.
I had a night out at one of our local Brownie groups, at which we made some super door hangers. I spent several days cutting out Sizzix people along with their hair and outfits. Gosh I didn't realise how much time it takes, out came the scraps box and trying to get the max out of things.
Next task was to create some things which the children at Ally's (my youngest) school could make for fathers day. They have a little tuck shop which each class takes turns running. These items were for them to sell on their little stall, I understand from a reliable source (Ally) that everything sold.
I cut out and prepared 20 DAD hangers. As we only had a 45 min slot in which to get things made. I did most of the back work just leaving the overlay letters and decoration for the children to add.
The children also made an envelope to pop this super hanger in
making it a little surprise.
I cut and prepared 20 cards; ten of each. Again make most of it up just leaving the children to glue and decorate with their own ideas.
I'm sorry but wasn't able to photograph all the finished items as ~I forgot my camera so the one pictured was the one Ally and I put together as samples.
GONE FISHING
I have use a Penny black stamp to create this card.
Edited to correct the links and spacing, sorry have lots of problems.
Hugs Fi xx
The papers are Crafts Too from a super little pack of colours I have just purchased.
The image has been cut out using a nestie, coloured with promarkers.
A little ribbon has been added down the sidealong
with a fish charm to go with the gone fishing theme.
The little sign post is a stamp from my tilda collection.
Not forgetting finished of with the Happy Birthday stamp from LOTV .
and punched out with my SU oval punches.
I have entered this in the following challenges
ME to YOU card
I have made this card using papers and decoupage from the Me to You range that Papermania (Docrafts) have brought out.

Sketch challenge - June 2011 - A Square Dance
Well as my super friend Lou gave me a dig in the ribs with this challenge,
knowing I love my inchies.
This is my first sketch challenge and I hope it fits.
Over at Kathy's Waffle sketch File this month it's Square dance
I have used my Funky Hands CD for the backing papers and the little ribbon strips. The inchies are stamped using my Big and Juicy ink pad. I made the little backing with my brayer and the same Big and Juicy ink pad. The images and backing are edged with my black ink pad to allow them to stand out a little. Dusty Concord distress ink around the edge on base card and Spiced Marmalade on the ribbon strips. Finish with some little flowers and a few gems.
On this one I have used my Black 'Clearly Better' ink pad. I used a different set which I have stamped on some super pearly card which I purchased from the Simply Yours show at Lincoln the other week. I'm loving it, such super colours. I bought some more colours today at Doncaster Stamp magic show. I used a little black ribbon, just adding a little Happy Birthday disc from the same inches pack. Few square gems around the edge to go with the square theme. Last thing was to mount it on to my base card (black) with just the side edges showing

Your My Favourite.
Out came my little box with my Penny black stamps and I set to work. This is what I managed to make. I just love this dog: it's great for any birthday. It was great because out came my paw punch to edge the sides. I was looking for some paper with paws on and didn't succeed, so out came my paw stamp along with my Stampin Up choc chip ink and I made my own.
I wasn't sure but felt it wanted something else, so I have added a little doodle around the edge.

so this is my take on what I saw.
The stamps are from the Lindsay Mason Design and are truly magical.
The Swirl is from The Stamp Barn.
Handmade backing paper by Me.
The sentiment are from LOTV and Hobby Art.
Not forgetting the stamp pad it's Stampin Up - Elegant Eggplant
Get Funky - Master Chef Recipe!
Hi well here goes for my card for Funky Hands Challenge.
The challenge this month is Recipe challenge Ingredients:
3 different papers
5 flowers
2 buttons
1 length of ribbon (you can chop this up to taste)
A sprinkling of pearls or gems to season.
At least one Funky Hand product must be included!
I hope I have managed to include all the items. Papers are from my Funky hands CD -Craft the Year Away- April fool colour way. I printed these on some lovely pearly paper I had, not that you can really appreciate it in the photo (sorry that's all my photography skills can do).
I have made some buttons with my super punch and added gloss accents. The flowers are from my Papermania punch with a little gem in the centre.
One Today
Oh I'm so pleased as I don't normally take my cards to work.
I took a couple of cards to show some of my friends as they kept asking me what I did in my cabin.
I nearly fell of my chair when a few of them asked if I would do them a card,
I'm not very confident that my cards are what people like and want so it was a shock, but a nice one at that.
I know lots of you guys make lovely cards and mine are just may bit of fun.
First request was a card for her little niece who will be one,
she said anything will do it will be great what ever you come up with. (Umm)
Only request was it had 1 Today and her name Ruby Grace on it.
As I'm having a Me to You Bear moment that's what she got.
Out with the cricut for the 1 Today and a circle with her name welded around to place behind that super cute bear.
I couldn't resist a little glitter on the one but as she only youngI used gloss accents over to seal it in.

Teenage Boy
Oh boy do I feel old, it was my eldest boys Birthday last week and he became a Teenager (had the attitude for long enough) and don't I know it. No I love him to bits really.
Here are the two cards I made for him one from us and the other was from his little brother. Some of you know him and will see him in the cards, he has some fab hair do's which he does and looks after himself, he's very special in that way that he has his own personality and doesn't follow the crowd.
I have use the fab stamp from Greetings farm (Edward) in this one along with funky hands papers from my CD (which I find myself using more and more)
Nanna 60th Birthday card
Well don't fall off your chairs but a 2nd posting in one week, yeah I know. Lol
I just love the Me to You bears so will try and post some more when I finish them. Well done to Docrafts for managing to bring them to us all, they are so cute and adorable.
It was my mother-in-laws 60th Birthday so I just had to make a card with one on.
Hope you like it and remember pop back in a couple of days and I might just surprise you with another posting. LOL
Sympathy Card
Well it's not my favourite cards to make
as it's always a very sad occasion when you have to do one.
It was such a pleasure to make these as they are for a special person.
Unfortunately one of my neighbours (well was when I lived at home)
passed away the other week and mum asked if I would do a card for her as well
So I wanted them to be special if that's the right think to say
as they were lovely neighbours when I lived across the road.
His wife is left to live on with his happy memories and
three grown up children so lots of love for mum
and support which is something we all need at time like this.
What more can I say apart from R.I.P Graham
and my thoughts go out to Sue and her family.
